Third Graphic Novel Prize - Ibero-American Cities Graphic Image

Open the deadline for submitting papers to the third Graphic Novel Prize - Ibero-American Cities

A new edition of the Graphic Novel Prize - Ibero-American Cities has been opened, organized by the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI), the City Council of Madrid and the Sexto Piso Editorial.

The event, which this year celebrates its third edition, aims to promote the cultural expressions that revolve around the city, how citizens live, dream and perceive it. The award comes from the desire to generate spaces that promote the principles of the Ibero-American Cultural Charter and the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (Unesco, 2005). In the same way, it seeks to emphasize the importance of the transformation of cities to carry out the New Urban Agenda and the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) adopted by the United Nations in 2015.

The winner will be awarded with 6,000 Euros and its publication and distribution. Authors over 18 years, of any nationality, who present its text written in Spanish or Portuguese, can participate. The writing must be unpublished and may be submitted in co-authorship or collective works.

The deadline for submitting papers began on February 16 and is open until August 31.
