PLATFORMA will participate in the CEMR Conference with a workshop on gender equality in decentralised cooperation

PLATFORMA, European network of local and regional governments for development cooperation, of which the Barcelona Provincial Council is member, organizes a workshop on the importance of gender equality in decentralised cooperation. The activity will take place within the conference on "Equality, diversity and inclusion" of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) that will be celebrated in Bilbao on the 11st – 13th of June.

Under the motto "Why gender is essential for decentralized cooperation", it will be presented the most significant results of the study "Promoting gender equality: towards a gender-based approach in decentralised cooperation projects", elaborated by AFCCRE, French section of the CEMR, within the framework of PLATFORMA.

In addition, the participants will be able to share their respective practices for the incorporation of the gender approach in their international policies and activities, identifying the difficulties and possible solutions to these challenges.
