Setting up a new generation of decentralised cooperation

Publication edited by PLATFORMA in the framework of its association with the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), oriented on how regional and local governments should adapt decentralised cooperation models.

The study is structured in two large blocks. First, it alludes to the need to clarify the conceptual approach of decentralised cooperation and its contribution to the new global agendas of sustainable development. The second section refers to the set of challenges and the innovative characteristics of decentralised cooperation, as well as issues of transparency, monitoring, social control and accountability.
