Open the deadline for submission of candidatures to host the WUF 11

The United Nations Program for Human Settlements (UN - Habitat) has opened the deadline for the submission of candidatures to host the XI edition of the World Urban Forum (WUF 11).

The WUF is a non-legislative technical forum convened by the United Nations Program UN Habitat, which brings together local, regional and national governments, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector and civil society, among other actors, to discuss on urbanization, sustainable urban development and urban settlements.

The eleventh session of the Forum will contribute to the worldwide mobilization to defend a common vision on sustainable urban development, and to advance in the implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. The deadline for the presentation of candidatures is July 30th, and the winning city will be known in February 2019.
