
2nd Edition of the Journalism Prize Iberoamerican Cities of Peace
The Union of Iberoamerican Capital Cities (UCCI), organizes the second edition of the Journalism Prize Iberoamerican Cities of Peace. The objective of this award, which has the support of UNESCO, is to encourage the creation of articles in the press that promote mechanisms to achieve peace and eradicate violence or denounce the problems that exist today in Latin America to achieve this goal.
Any person of legal age can participate, and each participant will be able to present up to 3 texts if they have been published in any communication media between November 1, 2017 and November 30, 2018.
This edition incorporates as main novelty, the possibility of presenting journalistic texts that address urban issues. The works must be written in Spanish or Portuguese, and reportage, reports and research presented in written, audiovisual or graphic formats will be accepted.
A total of 3 prizes will be awarded, and the deadline for submitting nominations is December 1. The award ceremony will be held on May 3, 2019, coinciding with the World Press Freedom Day.
