From the Observatory we join today the celebration of the third anniversary of the 2030 Agenda and SDG’S!

Today is the 2030 Agenda’s third anniversary. It was approved by all member countries of the United Nations after a process of historical and unprecedented consultation, with the participation of civil society, the business sector and also local governments, represented by networks such as the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments.

2030 Agenda aims to eradicate poverty, achieve peace and universal justice, ensure prosperity of all people in the world and reduce the effects of climate change. To achieve this, it establishes 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the vertebral column of the Agenda that will guide the global action for development until the year 2030.

From the Observatory we join today to this celebration, claiming the key role of local and regional governments in achieving the Objectives.

We encourage you to take action to make SDG’s a reality!
